I’m a journalist, photographer, and editor based in Chicago, where I currently work as the digital content editor at Imbibe Magazine. I plan, source, write, edit, photograph and organize content for our digital channels—but never before at least two cups of tea, because I’m not much of a morning person.

Before the full-time gig with Imbibe, I freelanced for the likes of PUNCH, Bon Appetit, Food Republic, and Serious Eats. I also participated in a SXSW panel on beer and whiskey; helped Eater compile the 2014 Best Bars in America list; and regularly judge local cocktail competitions here in Chicago.

While I love a good drink (story), I have a soft spot for design and architecture, too. I’ve profiled designers like Zaha Hadid, explored beautiful homes like this New England vacation pad for Dwell, and focused on sustainability issues with stories on super hip wooden sunglasses and brewery design. I’ve also dabbled in album reviews, written about out my favorite soaps and penned lots of business profiles to keep the bank account afloat during those dark freelance days.

When I’m not at my desk, I’m usually making playlists, helping my husband scout new bands and fielding emails for Armory Music or messing around with the latest issue of Bon Appetit in the kitchen, because I feel grounded when I cook.
