I often moderate and participate in panels on global drinks cultures, cocktail bars, and agave spirits. I judge spirits and cocktail competitions, both in-person and remote! I am also available for copywriting projects, editing gigs, and consulting for brands (primarily in the agave spirits space, but I’m open to expanding that scope). 95% of my time is currently spent writing and co-authoring books, so I don’t read many unsolicited pitches. When I do write articles, they’ll be focused on politics, Mexican spirits, and other drinks cultures around the world that have a distinct identity and sense of place. I no longer write about beer or wine or other beverages. As a 50 Best Bars academy chair, I do care about new bar openings! Keep me in the loop on those! My co-authoring plate is currently full through 2027, but you could hire me to write and design your book proposal, or consult on the book-writing process.
